Automatic quartz

Automatic quartz calibers are quartz movements alimented by a rechargeable battery (called capacitor). A rotor moving with the wearer movements, as for a mechanical automatic watch, triggers a generator that reloads the capacitor. Only a few manufacturers propose this technology : Seiko (firstly Auto-Quartz then AGS and finally Kinetic), Citizen (Eco-Drive) and ETA (Autoquartz).
