Description
Somptuous Citizen Jet Auto Dater from 1964 fitted with one of these iconic Citizen “Jet” calibre from the 1120 series. This range of movements didn’t have a standard oscillating weight as you can see, but a rotating ring which winds the mainspring. This is very specific to Citizen and is probably unique in the world of automatic watches.
The 38 mm stainless steel case is in good condition, as is the dial. The date is displayed at 3 (there is no quickset).
The movement has been serviced (09/2022) and keeps good time (+ 10 s/day).
The crystal is original, I polished it. New new light brown leather band.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
