Description
Gorgeous early Citizen Jet Auto Dater Rookie from 1963 fitted with one of these iconic Citizen “Jet” calibre from the 1120 series. This range of movements didn’t have a standard oscillating weight as you can see, but a rotating ring which winds the mainspring. This is very specific to Citizen and is probably unique in the world of automatic watches.
The 38.2 mm stainless steel case is in very good condition, the dial has some light wear as you can see on the pictures but still looks very crispy.
The movement has been serviced and holds good time (+/- 20 s/day).
New plexi and new black leather band fitted.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
