Description
Impressive Citizen Jet Auto Dater from 1964 fitted with one of these iconic Citizen “Jet” calibre from the 1120 series. This range of movements didn’t have a standard oscillating weight as you can see, but a rotating ring which winds the mainspring. This is very specific to Citizen and is probably unique in the world of automatic watches.
The 39.5 mm stainless steel case is in good condition, the dial has some wear (see near the date). The day is displayed at 12, which is very distinctive of Citizen at that time and the date at 3 (you can set the date by pulling the crown).
The movement has been serviced (09/2020) and holds good time (+/- 20 s/day).
New crystal and new dark brown leather band.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
