Gorgeous Orient AAA Deluxe, probably from the late 60’s,early 70’s. Nice 36.5 mm wide stainless steel case, original crown (a little bit worn, it shows brassing), black dial with day in Kanji and date at 3 (date with working quickset).
Good overall cosmetic condition, with some light wear on the case. The leather bracelet is new, the crystal is original and in good condition.
The movement is an automatic 21 jewels Orient.
It holds good time, the shifting is about 15 seconds a day and the amplitude is good (about 265°).
The manual winding feature is quite stiff, it works but you will have to turn the crown slowly. It’s a common problem on these movements and I couldn’t improve it significantly. The automatic winding works flawlessly.
A classy model, with quite large dimensions making it still wearable regarding the modern standards.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serived, checked and cleaned (08/2021). Water resistance non tested.
