Description
Nice vintage Seiko 5 Actus SilverWave, released in November 1976 according to its serial number.
The watch is in its original condition, the crystal has been however replaced.
The 5 Actus SilverWave range had an improved water resistance with a screwed crown and is part of the “5” series. The SilverWave name appeared in the 60’s with the famous Seikomatic SilverWave. At the beginning of the 80’s some LCD quartz watches still had this name and the double wave symbol on the back.
Absolutely gorgeous silver patterned dial , modern dauphine hands with a black central line and steel indexes. Day (in english and kanji) and date at 3.
The movement is a Seiko 21-jewel automatic 6306. It works fine (serviced in 09/2020).
The stainless steel bracelet doesn’t seem to be original to the model but fits the watch very well and is probably close to what was the original one.
The overall condition of this Seiko is good but the case and the band have some light wear. The dial is flawless.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
