Description
This is perhaps what we can call a “Super Seiko 5”, with its rare and sophisticated 5139 27 jewels movement. It was released in November 1968 according to its serial number.
The watch is in its original condition, except for the bracelet.
White flawless dial, baton hands and steel markers, all in good condition. Day (in Kanji only) and date at 3, with working quickset.
The movement is a Seiko 27-jewel automatic 5139. It has just been serviced and cleaned. It works fine, gaining about 5 s/d with a balance amplitude of 265°. The hacking second and the date quickset are working.
The overall condition is good, the steel case has some minor wear. The steel bracelet is not original to the watch but fits it well and is in good condition.
The crystal is original, I polished it.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (10/2021). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
