Description
This is a nice example of the Seiko design and technical savoir-faire : an automatic chronograph in a very nice designed case, with a gorgeous dial. It was released in December 1973 according to its serial number and was marketed for the japanese domestic market (JDM)
The watch is in its original condition except for the glass domed crystal which has been replaced.
Gorgeous blue dial in very good condition (some light discolouration between the 4 and 5 marker), batons hands with patin, yellow second hand and white minute totalizer hand. Dark green sub dial. Day (in english and kanji) and date at 3, with quickset on both.
The movement is a Seiko 21-jewel automatic 6139. It has just been serviced (wheel train relubed, it works fine (+/- 15 s/d), the balance having a good amplitude. The chrono starts and stops, the reset comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher. The day and date quickset works.
The overall condition is very good, the case having only minor wear.
Finally, the watch comes with a recent generic steel bracelet. Definetely a gorgeous watch, in good condition and fully working.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (01/2021). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
