Description
This is a nice example of the Seiko design and technical savoir-faire : an automatic flyback chronograph with a beautiful blue dial. It was released in June 1973 according to its serial number. This 7015/7016/7017 range is substantially rarer than the 6138/6139.
The watch is in its original condition except for the leather band, which is new.
Gorgeous deep blue dial in excellent condition, baton and orange triangle hands. Day (in English and Kanji) and date at 3, with quickset for both.
The movement is a Seiko 21-jewel automatic 7015 with flyback function. It has just been serviced, it works very fine (+ 5 s/d). The chrono starts and stops, the reset/flyback comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher.
The overall condition is good to very, the case has only minor wear and the dial is in excellent condition. The glass crystal is original, it has some light scratches but is still in good condition. I chose to let it as is – an original part is always welcome – but I can replace it by a standard reference on demand (and without additional cost).
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (11/2021). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
