Seiko 5 Sportsmatic Deluxe 7606-7991, 1964

Watch & Vintage proposes this gorgeous early Seiko 5 Sportsmatic Deluxe 7606-7991 in good overall condition. It was released in November 1964 according to its serial number. These Seiko Sportsmatic Deluxe are an enhanced version of the 5 Sportsmatic with a date quickset (with a dedicated pusher), a stainless steel case and a better finishing.
This Sportmatic Deluxe is in its original condition, nice almost flawless champagne dial, dauphine hands and steel hour markers. Day (in English) and date at 3 (with quickset). The case, which I particularly like, is in good condition, with some minor wear. The thick lugs especially give a nice presence on the wrist.
The movement is a Seiko 23-jewel automatic 7606. It has been serviced, it works great, holding good time (gaining about 15 s a day), the balance having an excellent amplitude.The crystal is new, as is the dark brown leather band.

Vintage watch with unknown history but checked, serviced (2021/09) and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
