Description
Nice blue Seiko Automatic Chronograph 6139-7070, known under the nickname “baby jumbo”. It was released in September 1976 according to its serial number and was marketed for the french markets.
Deep blue dial with some patina but in good condition, batons hands, white second and minute totalizer hand. Day (in English and French) and date at 3, with quickset on both.
The movement is a Seiko 17-jewel automatic 6139. It has just been serviced, it works fine (+/- 10 s/d), the balance having a good amplitude. The chrono starts and stops, the reset comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher. The day and date quickset works.
The overall condition is good, the big case has some minor wear. The glass crystal is in very good condition.
Finally, the watch comes with a new leather band.
Definetely a impressive watch, in good condition and fully working.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (09/2022). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
