Description
Very nice vintage Seiko Business “Weekdater” 6206-8040 from February 1967. Nice 37 mm stainless steel case with screw back, white dial (with a thin scratch at the centre, hardly noticeable) and dauphine hands in good condition. The hands are gorgeous with their central part being brushed.
The case has some normal minor wear.
The Business range is identical to the Seikomatic range, Seiko decided in 1967 to rename it but the models were strictly the same. This 6206-8040 was before named Seikomatic (in 1965 and 1966).
The Seiko 6206 movement is clean, has just been serviced and is holding very good time (+10 s/j), the balance having an good amplitude (240°).
New black leather band, original acrylic glass in good condition.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (04/2023), checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
