Description
This Seiko automatic chronograph was released in November 1978 according to its serial number.
The watch is in its original condition except for the original steel bracelet, which is missing.
Nice black dial in good condition, luminous hour markers, batons hands with some patina and paint loss, yellow second hand and minute totalizer hand. Black sub dial. Day (in English and Roman numbers) and date at 3, with working quickset on both.
The movement is the classical Seiko 17-jewel automatic 6139B. It has just been serviced, it works fine (+/- 15 s/d), the balance having a good amplitude. The chrono starts and stops, the reset comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher. The day and date quickset works.
The overall condition is good, the case having minor wear. The mineral glass might be original, it has only a few very minor scratches.
Finally, the watch comes with a brand new brown leather band. Definetely a gorgeous watch, in good condition and fully working.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (03/2022). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
