Gorgeous and seldom Seiko Seikomatic Self Dater from May 1962 in very good original condition.
White dial with light lovely patina, baton hands and steel markers. All stainless steel case with only minor wear.
The calibre is the 24-jewel automatic Seikosha 394 with date display. The movement has been serviced, relubed. It holds excellent time (+5 s/d) and the amplitude of the balance is very good.
The acrylic crystal is in good condition. New brown leather band with a butterfly clasp.
This Seikomatic Self Dater is quite rare, it has been produced only two years. It is according to me a must-have for the Seiko enthusiast.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked, serviced and cleaned (March, 2021). Water resistance non tested.
