Description
Magnificient vintage Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater 6218-8971 with day (in english) and date. Nice 37 mm stainless steel case with screw back, white dial, dauphine hands.
The case has some normal light wear as has the dial (some spots are visible).
The Seikomatic Weekdater has become quite iconic these few last years (isn’t it the first day and date Seiko ?), it’s classy, quite big and reliable.
The Seiko 6218 movement is clean, has just been serviced (disassembling, replacement of the balance, cleaning, lubing) and is holding very good time (+5 s/d), the balance having an good amplitude (250°).
New black leather band, original polished acrylic crystal.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (03/2022), checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
