Description
Magnificient vintage Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater, 1st generation from September 1963. Nice 37 mm J13080 stainless steel case with snap back, white dial, dauphine hands.
The case only has light wear.
The Seikomatic Weekdater has become quite iconic these few last years (isn’t it the first day and date Seiko ?), it’s classy, quite big and reliable. It represented in the mid 60’s the high end range for automatic watches made by Seiko. It has been later replaced by the King and Grand Seiko in the late 60’s.
The Seikosha 400 movement (later Seiko 62xx) has just been serviced and is holding very good time (+5 s/d), the balance having an good amplitude (260°).
New black leather band, used but in good condition acrylic crystal.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (05/2022), checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
The pictures are actual and part of the description, so look carefully at them.
