Description
Seldom and spectacular JDM Seiko 4S15-8000 automatic from March 1993, a period largely dominated by quartz watches. automatic Seikos were quite rare in these years, apart of the Seiko 5 series and some diver’s.
Beautiful stainless steel case in very good condition, new glass crystal. White flawless dial, golden numeric hour marker and lozenge hands. Date at 3 o’clock, with a working quickset.
The brown leather band is new and is Seiko signed (not the buckle, however).
The automatic Seiko 4S25 28,800 bph movement is clean, has just been serviced and is holding very good time (+ 5 s/j), the balance having a good amplitude.
This movement (and the 4Sxx family) by the way is derived from the 52xx from the early 70’s and was widely used by Seiko for their upper range automatic watches in the 90’s, especially with Credor.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, tuned and cleaned (02/2025). Water resistance non tested.
The pictures are actual and part of the description, so look carefully at them.
