Description
Watch & Vintage proposes this huge Seiko 5 Sports “UFO” that was marketed for the japanese domestic market (JDM). It was released in September 1969 according to its serial number, it is an early 5 Sports.
The watch is in its original condition. The crystal has been replaced and the leather band is new.
Gorgeous flawless black dial, broad batons hands and luminous hours markers. Day (in english and kanji) and date at 3 with quickset for both. The inner bezel can be rotated by the crown.
The movement is a Seiko 23-jewel automatic 6106. It has just been serviced (wheel train cleaned and lubed). It works fine (+/- 10 s/d).
The overall condition is good, the dial is in excellent condition, and the hands are quite patinated. The steel case has some minor wear.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (2021/02) checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
