Description
Interesting Seiko Presmatic Hi-Beat 5146-7090 from 1970. The Presmatic was a kind of transition model based on the Seikomatic-P. It was in fact even the last model fitted with a 51xx calibre, here pushed to its limit of 28,800 bph (hence the Hi-Beat mention on the dial). 37 mm stainless steel case with normal wear for a 56-year old watch, white linen dial with some light wear (the enamel near the day and date window is tarnished), hands and hour markers in good condition. Days in English and date at 3 o’clock with a working date quickset. Original polished acrylic crystal, original stainless steel bracelet with a “Presmatic” signed clasp. It is long enough to fit a 20 cm wrist.
The Seiko 5146 movement has just been serviced and is holding good time (+5 s/d), the balance having an good amplitude (250°).
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (09/2026), checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
