Description
This is a nice example of the swiss mid-range and “generic” production of chronographs. Fitted with a Landeron 48 movement, this Eldor Genève features a nice looking big gold plated case and a lovely black dial. Its design mixes the military codes (luminous blue steel hands and numeric markers) with the touch of class of a dress watch.
The watch is in its original condition except for the acrylic crystal, which has just been replaced.
The gold plating is in very good condition for its age, the dial too is still very fresh, all markings are there. The hands have some patina as you can see. I didn’t relume them but I can do it on demand. That will be the acqueror choice.
The movement is a classic Landeron 48. It has just been serviced (relubed + replacement of a return spring that was broken) , it works fine (+/- 15 s/d), the amplitude of the balance is very good. The chrono starts and stops, the reset comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher.
As you can see the overall condition is good, the watch looking even far better in real (black dials and golden cases are a nightmare to shoot).
Finally, the watch comes with a new black leather bracelet.
