Description
This was the answer of Citizen to the success story of the Seiko automatic chronographs. And what an answer, the 8110 movement offered compared to the Seiko 6138 a high rate beat of 28,800 bph and the flyback feature.
This one was released in 1974 according to its serial number and was marketed for the french speaking markets since the days can be displayed in English or in French.
The watch is in its original condition except for the glass crystal which has been replaced.
Flawless black dial, batons hands with patina, orange second, minutes and hours totalizer hands with some paint loss. Inner rotating bezel (working).
The movement has just been serviced, it works fine (+/- 10 s/d), the balance having a good amplitude. The chrono starts and stops, the reset comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher. The date quickset works.
The overall condition is good, the case having minor wear. Both crowns are “ctz” signed.
Finally, the watch comes with a beautiful vintage generic steel bracelet. Definetely a must have.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (09/2021). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
