Description
This is a nice example of the Seiko design and technical savoir-faire : a automatic flyback chronograph in a very nice designed case. It was released in July 1971 according to its serial number. This range is substantially rarer than the 6138/6139.
The watch is in its original condition except for the glass crystal, which has just been replaced.
Nice flawless black dial, batons and orange triangle hands. Day (in english and kanji) and date at 3, with quickset on both. The inner bezel can be rotated by the crown.
The movement is a Seiko 21-jewel automatic 7017 with flyback function. It has just been serviced, it works fine (+/- 15 s/d). The chrono starts and stops, the reset/flyback comes perfectly back to its original position when pressing the lower pusher.
The overall condition is very good, the big pillow case has only very minor wear.
Finally, the watch comes with a new stainless steel band. Definetely a impressive watch, in good condition and fully working.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced, checked and cleaned (11/2022). Water resistance non tested (so no dipping or shower with this watch).
