Description
Gorgeous vintage Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater 6206-8990 with day (in English) and date, from March 1964. Nice shiny 37 mm stainless steel case with snap back, white dial and dauphine hands in excellent condition. This model is a rarer “sporty” variation of the usual 8990, with its luminous hands and plots on the inner bezel.
The case has minor wear.
The Seikomatic Weekdater range is classy, quite big and reliable. It has become a must-have for the Seiko enthusiast.
The Seiko 6206 movement is clean, has just been serviced and is holding very good time, the balance having an excellent amplitude.
New black leather band, polished glass.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (06/2022), checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
