Beautiful vintage Seiko Skyliner 6102-8000 from 1968. All stainless steel case, the calibre is a beautiful mechanical Seiko 6102 with 21 jewels.
The Skyliner was I think, the last non automatic Seiko range. There were of course later mechanical Seikos but not a whole range.
The interesting fact regarding this model, and particularly its movement, is that it is based on the 61xx calibre, one of the broadest calibre range made by Seiko which included the 6145/6146 from the Grand Seiko, the 6138/6139 chronographs, the 6117 GMT, the 6105 from the “Willard” diver’s, etc.
The overall condition of the watch is good to very good. The dial is flawless. The case is in good condition. The acrylic crystal is original to the watch, I polished it.
The movement has just been serviced, it keeps good time.
New black leather band.
Vintage watch with unknown history but serviced (01/2023) checked and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
