Description
Rare Seiko 5 DX from 1968 fitted with a quite sophisticated 27 jewels 5139 automatic calibre. This was, I think, the most jewelled Seiko 5 in history. The 5126 & 5139 Seiko 5 only lasted a couple of years and were then replaced by the 70xx and 61xx calibres equipped watches. This example is in good full original condition. 37.5 mm stainless steel case with light wear for an almost 60-year old watch, fluted bezel, champagne dial and dauphine hands in good condition. Original polished acrylic crystal, original Seiko 5 signed bracelet.
The Seiko 5139 movement has just been serviced and is holding good time (+10 s/d), the balance having an good amplitude. The date quickset is working.
Montre vintage d'historique inconnu, révisée (octobre 2026), vérifiée et nettoyée. Étanchéité non testée.
