Description
Very interesting Seiko Perpetual Calendar GMT Titanium from 1999. The movement is an in-house high grade 8F56 “GMT” at 196 kHz, allowing a +/- 20 seconds drift a year.
The current day is internally programmed (day, date, gap to the next leap year) but the movement only diplays the date. That means that it flips automatically to March 1st after February 28th or even after February 29th when in a leap year.
The 41 mm titanium case is in very good condition, the dial is flawless, as is the sapphire crystal.
The bracelet is in titanium too, is original, and in good condition.
A new battery has just been fitted (it will last up to 10 years), the calendar reprogrammed. All functions are working.
Vintage watch without known history but serviced (new battery, calendar reprogrammed), checked and cleaned (12/2023). Water resistance not tested.
