Description
Beautiful vintage Citizen Leopard High Beat 28,800 from 1972. This was the King Seiko and Seiko LM Special main competitor in the early seventies and is an excellent alternative, with a more reliable movement and and at least an equal overall quality. The movement has a beat rate of 28,800, it has the hacking second and the manual winding feature.
The 37 mm stainless steel case is in very good untouched condition, the textured dial is flawless.
The overall full original conditon is very good
The movement has been serviced (tightening of the cannon pinion and is holding very good time (+/- 8 s/j).
The day / date quickset can be set by pushing the crown with either 12 at top (for the date) or at bottom (for the day). A very clever sytem.
The steel bracelet is original, the clasp being “Citizen” signed. The glass crystal is original too, it has some light scratches.
Vintage watch with unknown history but checked, serviced (09/2023) and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
