Description
Incredible black Seiko 5 Sportsmatic Deluxe 7619-7070 in good to very good overall condition. It was released in July 1966 according to its serial number. These Seiko Sportsmatic Deluxe are an enhanced version of the 5 Sportsmatic with a date quickset (with a dedicated pusher), a stainless steel case and a better finishing.
This Sportmatic Deluxe is in its original condition, rare black dial, dauphine hands and unusual steel hour markers. Even the chromed frame surrounding the day and date window is unique Days in English and date at 3 (with working quickset). The case is in good condition, with some minor wear.
The movement is a Seiko 25-jewel automatic 7619. It has been serviced, it works great, holding good time (gaining about 10 s a day), the balance having an good amplitude. The crystal is probably original, I polished it. The leather band is new.
Vintage watch without known history but checked, serviced (04/2024) and cleaned. Water resistance non tested.
